Abstract:

This project is a partnership with a state-owned enterprise telecommunication company, aiming to conduct an initial study on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) implementation in Indonesia. The study seeks to explore the awareness and perception of CBDC among various stakeholders and assess the urgency for its implementation. Additionally, the project aims to evaluate the potential impact and business opportunities that CBDC may present in the future. Through a comprehensive analysis of stakeholders' views and market trends, the study will provide valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding CBDC implementation in Indonesia.

 

Summary:

This project, in collaboration with a state-owned enterprise telecommunication company, focuses on an initial study of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) implementation in Indonesia. The study aims to assess the awareness and perception of CBDC among various stakeholders and determine the urgency for its implementation. Furthermore, the project aims to evaluate the potential impact and business prospects of CBDC in the future. By conducting a comprehensive analysis of stakeholders' perspectives and market trends, the study provides essential insights to support decision-making processes regarding CBDC implementation in Indonesia.

 

Methodology:

  1. Literature Review: Conduct a thorough review of relevant literature and research papers related to CBDC implementation globally and its potential implications.
  2. Stakeholder Surveys: Administer surveys to various stakeholders, including consumers, businesses, financial institutions, and policymakers, to assess their awareness, perception, and willingness for CBDC implementation.
  3. Expert Interviews: Conduct in-depth interviews with experts and industry leaders in the financial and technology sectors to gain insights into the potential impact and business opportunities of CBDC.
  4. Data Analysis: Analyze the survey responses and interview data to derive meaningful insights and trends regarding stakeholders' views on CBDC.
  5. Market Analysis: Examine current market trends and potential future scenarios to assess the impact and business potential of CBDC in Indonesia.
  6. Policy and Regulatory Assessment: Evaluate the existing policies and regulations in Indonesia that may impact the implementation of CBDC.
  7. Report Compilation: Summarize the findings from the literature review, stakeholder surveys, expert interviews, data analysis, market analysis, and policy assessment in a comprehensive report.
