The achievement of the organization's vision, mission, and objectives requires a business process map that can enhance the organization's effectiveness and efficiency. The business process map is expected to create alignment between work units, prevent overlapping tasks and functions of work units, and optimize the integration between governance information systems with an integrated database. The formulation of business processes is carried out from level 0 to level 2, where level 0 are areas of the organization's processes classified based on core business processes, supporting processes, and others; level 1 consists of process areas (main processes) or key processes that are the main drivers within the organization, and level 2 comprises process groups (sub-processes), which are a collection of processes related by task, function, and activity.
The core process is a process that creates the main value stream and has a direct impact on meeting the needs of external and internal users and the organization's success in achieving its vision, mission, and strategies. Supporting processes are operational and management processes of a system and ensure that the core process runs well. Other processes are processes that are not directly related to the core process but generate beneficial value for external stakeholders.
The mapping results show that the core processes consist of three processes, namely Managerial, Educational, and Research and Community Service; the supporting processes consist of Student Affairs, Academic Quality Assurance, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Information Systems and Technology, Facilities Management, Risk, Legal, and Compliance, and Managing Organizational Capabilities; and other processes consist of Cooperation, Stakeholder Management, and Organizational Administration processes.
