Introduction:

This project aims to conduct an initial study to determine the appropriate amount of contribution that needs to be paid by electric vehicle (EV) owners in collaboration with Indonesia's state-owned social insurance company. The study will focus on understanding the unique characteristics and risks associated with EV ownership to ensure fair and sustainable insurance coverage for EV owners in the country.

Objective:

The main objective of this study is to determine the appropriate contribution amount that should be paid by EV owners to the state-owned social insurance company, taking into account the specific factors and risks related to electric vehicles. The study will aim to strike a balance between affordability for EV owners and the sustainability of the insurance system.

Methodology:

• Data Collection: The data will encompass information on EV ownership patterns, accident statistics, repair costs, and other relevant factors.

• Risk Assessment: A comprehensive risk assessment will be conducted to evaluate the unique risks associated with EV ownership. This will include analyzing accident statistics, the impact of EV technology on repair costs, and the availability of spare parts for repairs.

• Stakeholder Consultation: Stakeholder engagement will be a key aspect of the study. Consultations will be conducted with EV owners, insurance industry experts, government officials, and representatives from the state-owned social insurance company to gather insights, feedback, and ensure the study's findings align with the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

• Recommendation Formulation: Based on the data analysis, risk assessment, and stakeholder inputs, recommendations will be formulated regarding the appropriate contribution amount to be paid by EV owners. These recommendations will aim to strike a balance between affordability, fairness, and the long-term sustainability of the insurance system.

Deliverables:

The study will produce the following deliverables:

• Research Report: A comprehensive research report summarizing the data analysis, risk assessment, actuarial analysis, stakeholder consultations, and the recommended contribution amount for EV owners.

• Presentation: A detailed presentation will be prepared to effectively communicate the study's findings, methodology, and recommendations to stakeholders, including the state-owned social insurance company, government officials, and other relevant parties.

This initial study on the contribution amount to be paid by electric vehicle owners in partnership with Indonesia's state-owned social insurance company aims to establish a fair and sustainable insurance system for EV owners. By considering the unique risks associated with EV ownership, conducting comprehensive data analysis, and engaging with stakeholders, the study will provide valuable insights and recommendations for determining an appropriate contribution amount that balances affordability and long-term sustainability.
